Fabric, Dye, Bead and Stitch 5


This piece of work is about A3 size and the task title was Fabric manipulation. I got so keen on this that I even bought a big gorgeous book on the topic! I really enjoyed playing around with different fabrics, beads and threads to see what I could create. If I remember rightly, the only reason I stopped was because I had to have it assessed. We could pick our own colour scheme and I felt that the manipulation of the fabric would show up better using shades of cream and white.



This picture shows a little more detail. Again, memories come back and it is hard to believe that this was made in 2001! Where has the time gone!

What a beautiful piece of work!!! For my current assignment I have chosen a colour scheme of winter whites, so its great to see a wonderful finished piece in just whites and creams. I love fabric manipulation, you can get some amazing results as your wonderful piece shows and so detailed! x
