Books Read 2013 /14

Books I have read in 2012/13/14
Due to having problems adding a
"Current Read" gadget for 2012 I decided to set up this page so that you can see in one place the books I have read during 2012.  The comments are only mine but this page give you some ideas of authors or titles to look out for.
June 2013
This is a cosy and easy to read book about village life and as always there is discord and a bit of a gritty storyline to keep you turning ther pages as a feud increases and starts to get rather out of hand.
Love this series of books and I have another waiting to be read, but perhaps a time for a change of author for a while.
December 2012
A lovely easy read book that i took away with me over Christmas.  It was easy to pick up and put down and was a cosy read.  Pity I did not find out until I had finished it that it was in fact the second of two books!  If you have a kindle and it is on promotion (which is where I found it, it is worth a look)
I will be looking out for further books by this author.

June - July 2012
Continuing the saga of Turnham Malpas and this book has several twist ad turns including a plague burial pit, a surprise death and quite an abrupt ending leading you on to the next book.

March 2012 - April 2012
I have read several of these books and this one continues with the village life of Turnham Malpas.  The story is much grittier this time and touches on the subject of drug dealers and a couple being attacked.
You could read it as it is much as part of the series it is like meeting up with old friends.

February - March 2012
An excellent book which I found very difficult to put down.  Follows the life of a girl who is sent to court at 12 and endures the lonely and manipulative life at court.  It shoes how girls had little or no say in their lives which was governed by men with often fatal results.

December 2011- january 2012
My current read....started December 30th and completed in January 2012.
A fairly easy and quick read, for once I actually think that the TV series was better!  I never thought I would ever say that about a book but there you go.  If you find it in the library then do give it a try but I would not bother parting with money for it.  I sound a little disappointed because I think I actually am. I have fond memories of the series.  Never mind.  I intend on starting another book during half term as this week is rather hectic.
