Meet Mr Snowman...

Back Garden View
After having finally getting Sophie to bed last night hubby and I watched to see what would happen and it did continue to snow on and off. We went to bed, I needed a hot water bottle too. This morning my alarm went off and I then proceeded to try and find out from the local radio what was happening about school.

I do not fancy moving this down a drive with a slope on it!

By the time Sophie surfaced from her quilt we had found out that hers and mine were declared shut!! The look on Sophie's little freckled face was worth it!!
'lets make a snowman Mummy!'
So after getting dressed it was bacon butties all round, getting wrapped up warm in coats and scarves and then venturing outside.
What are you going to do with all that snow Sophie?
Caught Sophie jumping up and down throwing snow up in the air. We then went out the front of the house where we have a long drive and tried to sledge down in an old washing up bowl, but there was not quite enough snow or slope really. Hubby then started to roll a very large ball of snow which then suddenly broke, shame. With the large broken bits we started to build a snowman and after much time we ended up with this...

Mr Snowman

According to my hubby it was not the right kind of snow to make a decent snowman, too powdery! Well we managed in the end. We then hunted for hat, gloves and bits for the face. Sophie is really pleased with it and we shall print a few pictures just in case snow is the topic for next weeks Show and Tell!

We are now tucked up in the living room ,with the fire on watching Mr Tumble on CBBC's. I am about to get some sewing out to and see if I can finish my commission a bit earlier.
Take care and keep warm!
xx

Well it turned out adorable and well worth the extra effort to create! Love how you embellished it!

Sorry that your computer wasn't savable, and that you have to start all over again. :(

Loads of snow here, but both schools still open ... booo and hiss. I don't like driving in snow! Today we had bright sunshine AND snow falling at the same time: the weather's gone mad! x

Love the snowman - there aren't many opportunities to get creative with snow. Always worth the numb fingers though... Just look at your happy Sophie .... did you enjoy it?

It's been such fun with the kids, hasn't it - she looks like she's had a great time. I love your snowman.
That's my line... 'wrong type of snow'. LOL. x

I had to work, so I didn't get to appreciate the snow or any bacon butties! It was nice for you to enjoy it all as a family and to get the day off. The snowman and Sophie look as if they are having a fun time. x
