Work, Dinner, Shopping and Home...

Well, the course that I went to was certainly worth going to and I came away with answers to some very burning questions and the confidence that I should be able to have the course up and running by September 2009! Phew, but there will certainly be some work to do, but of course some play is important otherwise I shall become a little mad. When hubby picked me up we decided to go and have a look round IKEA, which turned out to be a good idea as it was very quiet and got round in half the usual time. I had to visit the fabric section and found these.

I did visit about 6 months ago and found this fabric on that visit.........
That evening hubby and I went out to an Italian Restaurant which he booked while I was on the course. It was very busy and the food was great, so was the rose wine. It seemed odd not having Sophie with us but we had phoned her just before we went out and she was very happy where she was. Had had her dinner and was already in her PJ's for bed.

On Saturday we got up slowly, had a good breakfast and then Christmas Shopped for the afternoon. We have got it all done now (I hope!) and it was easier without having to drag a 6 year old round. it isn't much fun for her and trying to keep anything hidden from her is impossible. She has very good eyesight, I think that she can even see through carrier bags.

We drove home and rang up to collect her, but she is settled seeing as it was 6.30pm so she stayed another night and we went out for an Indian! Now our social life with a child is like any other parent's, often limited, so we could not believe our luck, and after hubby has finished playing with the outdoor Christmas lights we are going over to pick her up and have our dinner there as well. So we have not had to cook or worry about that sort of thing since last Thursday!! Brilliant timing all round really. I am paying some bills, I am sending off a copy of my cardigan pattern to Carol VR then I am going to wrap up my Christmas swap for Primrose Corner then work out later the winner of my giveaway and add to the prize so today is full again. Then it is back to work tomorrow. It has been a great weekend and due to having been here and there it seems to have been longer too. Hope you all had a great weekend too. Back with more news tomorrow.

Take care all...

P.S I have decided not to re-new my website but I have opened a slot on Folksy.com instead, link in the margin. I have only listed this so far...

We shall see what happens, so I am going to move everything from the website to here or Etsy over time.

Sounds like you have had a lovely weekend and achieved a lot - very important for this time of year! 2 dinners out - yum! Wish we had an Indian restaurant here, actually even a decent Italian would be great. Glad Sophie enjoyed her little holiday.
